The conative part of the mind contains the instincts and innate attributes that define a person's natural method of operation (MO). When a person works in their natural style, they are more productive, more comfortable and more successful. Simply put, conation drives action. Actions drive performance.

Known for centuries as one of the three parts of the mind. Action derived from instinct; purposeful mode of striving, volition. Can be measured by the Kolbe A Index.
