Conative Stress

QC1 - Misalignment Between MOs and Tasks

Updated over 4 years ago

Conative stress is the result of a mismatch between the a person's instinctive strengths and a job's conative requirements and/or the expectations of a supervisor.

The result of a compelling need being denied when one’s natural drive is thwarted, creating unproductive pressure on the individual. It is diagnosed by comparing that individual's Kolbe A™ Index result with their Kolbe B™ Index result and/or a supervisor's Kolbe C™ Index result.
